Team Managers will update/remind parents on a weekly basis of volunteer responsibilities as well as seek out to fill any open spots.
YOUTH PROGRAM VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION
Time Keeper:
One individual required to run the clock (usually use the timer on your phone) for youth games. The ref will advise the length of each half and how much time between halves. Volunteer hours earned are 1 hour per youth game. Individual should show up 15-20 minutes prior to game time.
Scoreboard:
One individual required to flip the scoreboard during the game. Volunteer hours earned are 1 hour per youth game. Individual should show up 15-20 minutes prior to game time.
Field set-up and tear down:
Individual(s) required to set-up and tear down the field for home games. Coaches will provide direction for this job. Duties include placing and removing cones on field perimeter and setting up and removing tables for scorebook and time keeper. Volunteer hours earned are 1.0 hours per home game. Individual(s) should show up 20-30 minutes prior to game time.
Board Assistance:
Assist with the organization of the youth program. This will complete all required volunteer hours.
Coach:
Ass as either the head coach or assistance coach for a designated team. This will complete all required volunteer hours.
Team Manager:
As a team manager you will be responsible for weekly communication with your designated team. You will communicate with the coach/coaches and then send out an email to parents. Weekly updates will include practice schedule, game schedule and volunteer schedule. The team manager will help to distribute apparel to their team as well. You will also be the point of contact for parents who have questions, etc. The team manager will also communicate any last minute changes to practice due to weather or other emergency situations. This will complete all required volunteer hours.
Apparel:
Assist with the sorting and bagging of apparel that was ordered by players. Volunteer hours earned will range from 1-2 hours depending on the amount of apparel to be sorted, etc.
Fundraiser:
Assist hours associated to the designated fundraiser. Volunteer hours will be dependent on fundraiser being organized.
Uniform collection, washing and inventory:
At the end of the season we will need a parent volunteer to collect all uniforms, launder and then inventory. The will complete all required volunteer hours.
